Kitten Purchase Agreement & Two-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
1. PARTIES TO THIS AGREEMENT
This Kitten Purchase Agreement & Two-Year Genetic Health Guarantee (“Agreement”) is entered into between Enchanted Maines (“Breeder”) and the purchaser identified below (“Buyer”).

4. PURCHASE PRICE & DEPOSIT

A $1,000 deposit is required to reserve a kitten.
The deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price of the kitten.
5. FINAL PAYMENT
The remaining balance must be paid in full before the kitten leaves Enchanted Maines or is released to the Buyer.
6. HEALTH AT TIME OF SALE
At the time of sale, the kitten will be in good health to the best of Enchanted Maines’ knowledge and will have received age-appropriate veterinary care, vaccinations, and deworming.
The Buyer is encouraged to have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian after taking possession of the kitten.
7. TWO-YEAR GENETIC HEALTH GUARANTEE
Enchanted Maines provides a two-year genetic health guarantee against life-threatening congenital or hereditary conditions that significantly affect the kitten’s quality of life.
If a qualifying genetic condition is diagnosed within two years of the kitten’s date of birth, the Buyer must provide Enchanted Maines with written documentation and medical records from a licensed veterinarian confirming the diagnosis.
If the kitten dies within the two-year guarantee period and a genetic or hereditary condition is suspected, a necropsy must be performed by a licensed veterinarian. A copy of the complete necropsy report must be provided to Enchanted Maines.
If a qualifying condition is confirmed and the requirements of this guarantee are met, Enchanted Maines will provide the Buyer with a replacement kitten of comparable quality when one becomes available. No cash refund will be provided.
8. BREEDER HEALTH TESTING
Enchanted Maines health tests all breeding pairs prior to breeding. Kittens are considered cleared through parentage for the genetic conditions for which their parents have been tested and cleared.
9. SPAY/NEUTER REQUIREMENTS
Any kitten sold as Pet Only will be spayed or neutered before leaving Enchanted Maines and before being released to the Buyer.
10. DECLAWING
Declawing of any kind is strictly prohibited. The Buyer agrees that the kitten will not be declawed at any time.
11. INDOOR HOME & OUTDOOR SAFETY
The kitten/cat must be kept as an indoor companion. Outdoor access is permitted only in a safe and securely enclosed area or under appropriate supervision. The kitten/cat is not to be housed or kept in a kennel.
12. BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Buyer agrees to provide the kitten/cat with proper nutrition, clean water, appropriate veterinary care, a clean and safe living environment, and the love and attention necessary for its health and well-being.
13. VETERINARY CARE
The Buyer agrees to provide routine and necessary veterinary care throughout the kitten/cat’s life, including appropriate vaccinations, parasite prevention, and prompt veterinary attention in the event of illness or injury.
14. BREEDING RIGHTS
If the kitten is sold with breeding rights, Enchanted Maines makes no guarantee that the kitten will ultimately be suitable for or capable of breeding. Enchanted Maines cannot guarantee the future reproductive ability or fertility of either a male or female kitten.
15. REGISTRATION
TICA registration paperwork will be provided to the Buyer as applicable to the kitten’s purchase type.
16. TICA PAPERWORK
TICA registration paperwork will be provided upon completion of the sale, as applicable.
17. TRANSFER OR RESALE
The Buyer agrees not to sell, transfer, rehome, surrender, or otherwise place the kitten/cat with another person or organization without first contacting Enchanted Maines.
18. RETURN TO BREEDER
If at any time the Buyer is unable or unwilling to keep the kitten/cat, the Buyer must contact Enchanted Maines before making other placement arrangements. Enchanted Maines will have the first opportunity to assist with or arrange for the kitten/cat’s return or appropriate placement.
19. NO REFUNDS
All sales are final. Enchanted Maines does not provide cash refunds. If a qualifying condition is confirmed under the Two-Year Genetic Health Guarantee and all requirements of the guarantee are met, the Buyer’s remedy will be a replacement kitten as provided in this Agreement.
20. LIMITATION OF GUARANTEE
This guarantee does not cover illness, injury, or conditions caused by accident, neglect, improper care, environmental factors, infectious disease contracted after leaving Enchanted Maines, or failure to provide appropriate veterinary care.
21. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma.
22. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement contains the entire understanding between the Buyer and Enchanted Maines concerning the sale of the kitten and supersedes any prior verbal or written representations or agreements. Any modification to this Agreement must be made in writing and agreed to by both parties.
23. ACKNOWLEDGMENT & ACCEPTANCE
By signing below, the Buyer acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to all terms and conditions contained in this Kitten Purchase Agreement & Two-Year Genetic Health Guarantee.
